Holy Greeting

" 'The Lord be with you!' 'The Lord bless you!' they called back." (Ruth 2:4)

Boaz vigorously welcomes and blesses people with his greeting. His influence and appreciation as a Godly leader are apparent in his harvesters boisterous reply that God bless him!

I have often reflected on how I can bring a warm greeting to friends and strangers alike. How can my fruitful (kindness, peacefulness, love, joy, goodness, gentleness) welcome and encourage friend or stranger alike- AND glorify God? I think I've found it in Boaz's greeting.

"Jesus- cause me to greet people in a way that will encourage and bless them and more importantly honor and glorify God. You are with me! You indeed bless me!"
